The Ovation - Lansing Performing Arts Center

Scope: The project entails the new construction of a 2,000 person capacity performing arts center in downtown Lansing. Plans show a two-story main stage, a second performance area for smaller performances, like acoustic sets, comedy shows, and film screenings. The Ovation will also offer community spaces such as podcast studios, a full music recording studio, and creator suites. And on top of it all, a rooftop terrace and lounge. Project Notes: 1/15/26 - Construction on the project is expected to begin in the spring. 10/08/25 - The developer changed the project to a design-build method. The project is expected to open in 2027. 02/02/22 - The project is partially funded by a $2 million state grant and $8 million in dedicated public access fees.
